For the past eight winter seasons, Shepherd’s House Ministries in partnership with local churches has provided a safe haven for those experiencing homelessness in Redmond during the winter months.
Services offered include food, shelter, clothing, and case management. By building relationships and trust with those stuck in the dilemma of homelessness, the trajectory of a life begins to change.
Our services run from November 15 through March 15.
Hours of service are from 6 pm to 7 am, Sunday through Saturday.
Location for this winter season will be a Mountain View Fellowship located at 1475 SW 35th St. Redmond, OR 97756

This will be our final season of short- term shelter services during the winter in Redmond because in 2023 SHM will be opening a permanent, long-term shelter in Redmond.
We are excited to announce Shepherd’s House Ministries is expanding services and our unique approach to loving neighbors in need through the establishment of a new, permanent Redmond Campus to serve the homeless community.
Our new campus will be located at 1350 S Hwy 97 at Veterans Way and will house up to 50 individuals, have 24/7 site services, and provide regular meal service 7 days a week to those living on the streets of Redmond.
Shepherd’s House ministries is excited to announce we are expanding our services and our unique approach to loving our neighbors in need through the establishment of a new Redmond Campus. We have provided Cold Weather Shelter for eight winters in Redmond and long held a vision for establishing a permanent campus for homeless services there. In 2022, that vision will become reality.
The number of known homeless residents in Redmond has more than doubled in recent years. There are so many who need help and hope in Central Oregon. Without long-term options, there has been a significant gap in services and no place where these individuals can call home.
Feed 45–60 people, three meals per day, or up to 50,000 meals annually.
Provide low-barrier shelter to 40+ persons each night, year-round.
Increase case-management resources for our neighbors in need.
Offer employment assistance and educational activities daily.
With the number of known homeless residents in Redmond more than doubling in recent years and a significant gap in services to this vulnerable population, many more need help and hope. Historically, Shepherd’s House has provided Cold Weather Shelter Service over the past eight winters in Redmond but have long held a vision for establishing a permanent campus for homeless services there. This new campus is the fulfillment of that vision and is now becoming a reality.
A building has been purchased, permits have been obtained, and renovations of this new facility will soon begin in 2022 with the facility slated to open in 2023. But, we need the help of our community to achieve this important vision.
Shepherd’s House invites the entire Redmond and Central Oregon community to join us in loving and caring for our most vulnerable neighbors in these tangible ways. Please consider partnering with us as we open our new Redmond Campus in 2023.
$100,000 Matching Opportunity:
Because of the generosity of the Maybell Clark Macdonald Foundation, all gifts to the Redmond Campus project made before the end of this year and again in 2023 will be matched, dollar for dollar up to $50,000!
To date, we have received $22,000 towards our goal of $50,000 in 2022. That means for this year we have $28,000 left to raise in the next few weeks. In addition, we will look at matching an additional $50,000 in 2023.
Register with us to volunteer now and be informed as opportunities begin in Redmond.
